Betty Louise Davis

She was born August 8, 1931 in Libertyville to William F. and Grace A. (Taylor) Jenkins. She married John Robert “Jack” Davis on December 23, 1950 in Gages Lakes. He died March 3, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tracy Davis; two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are four children, Candace (Darrell) Lohnes of Pekin, Sheri Davis of East Peoria, Michael (Debbie) Davis of Mattoon, and Mark Davis of Raiford, Florida; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She worked and retired in 1994 from the deli department at Korsmeyer's for 11 and a half years.

Betty was a member and apart of the ladies auxiliary of the 1232 VFW and the AMVETS 235.

She enjoyed bowling and bowled on a local league. She loved watching the Chicago Cubs and Hallmark movies. Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was incredibly kind and loved everybody she knew.

Betty attended North Parkway Assembly of God in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
