He was born on January 19, 1961 in Pekin to Charles and Leona (Landrus) Starbuck. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles E. Starbuck.
Surviving are two brothers, Dean (Dianna) Prine of Forest City and Bill (Connie) Starbuck of Spring Lake; seven sisters, Kathy (Ed) Sell of Sparland, Janice (Joe) Smith of Pekin, Sharon (Chuck) Trueblood of Pekin, Brenda (Mick) Lewis of Fortine, Montana, Eileen (Jack) Lash of Pekin, Kimberly (Bryan) Posey of Dover, Arkansas and Donna (Alan) Vaughn of Pekin; many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Art had worked for many years for Sommer Brothers Seed Company, he later worked for Gebhardt's Poultry Inc. and Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin. He retired from Kroger in Pekin.
He was an outdoorsmen who loved spending his time fishing, gardening and tending to flowers. He enjoyed music, singing and playing his guitar.
A gathering celebrating Art’s life will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the Pekin Moose Family Center #916. The gathering will be a potluck, guests may bring a dish of their choosing.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
