Born July 12, 1936 in Virginia to Donald E. and Valora B. (Griffin) Miller, she married Marvin L. Ellingworth on October 3, 1953 in Havana. He died November 16, 1989 in Pekin. She later married Edwin Paul Knussman on December 2, 1995 in Pekin. He died November 6, 2019 in Metamora. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, Donald L. Ellingworth.
Surviving are two daughters, Jan (Arthur) Belkind of Goodyear, Arizona and Meri Blinn of Decatur, Indiana; one son, Rev. Jon (Lisa) Ellingworth of Waverly, Iowa; three stepsons, Mike (Nancy) Knussman of East Peoria, Gary (the late Cheryl) Knussman and Randy Knussman, both of Trivoli; seven grandchildren, Rachael Belkind, Lucas Belkind, Ada Ellingworth, Cora Ellingworth, Meredith Ellingworth, Joshua Garrison and Erica White; seven step grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Anna worked at Proctor Hospital in Peoria for 38 years as a licensed practical nurse and as a Certified Operating Room Technician, retiring in 1995.
She was devoted to her family and enjoyed knitting and especially making baptismal bonnets.
She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin, where she served as a past president, secretary and treasurer of the Aid Association of Lutherans Board of her church. She also served on the stewardship committee and social concerns committee, both at the church. She attended the Wednesday morning Bible Class and was part of the Couples Club there for many years.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin. Pastor Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, and also from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 in Ada Cemetery in Ada, Minnesota. Pastor Jon Ellingworth will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
