Born February 7, 1945 in Peoria, he was the son of Theodore P. and Stella (Lambros) Xanos.
Surviving are one sister, Cynthia Xanos of Pekin; one sister-in-law, Pam Xanos of Pekin; two nieces, Christina (Jorge Gonzalez) Xanos of Los Angeles, California and Tiffany (Anthony) Rossi of Champaign; one nephew, Bradley (Kelli) Xanos of Pekin and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Peter D. “Pete” Xanos.
Andrew worked in the family businesses, Andy’s Drive-In and Xanos Restaurant, both in Pekin. He also had worked at the Peoria Journal Star and at the FedEx Hub Station Call Center.
He was a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria. Father Anastasios Theodoropoulos will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will follow the funeral in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
