Im sorry that Alvin your son passed away.  me and my family were so sad and I bet you were too these day probly have been hard for you but me my sister and my mom pray for you! and hope you have a great life we miss alvin and every second think about you we hope you are healthy and stay healthy and I know Alvin is still with you right by your side but you just cant see him and I know he is watching over us especially you because he loves you and he loves you because you were a great mom to him and he loved you so much that he will protect you and stand by your time through the happy times and the sad times

AJ loved Johnny Lewis. I used to say watching Johnny round those corners was like watching him wrestle an alligator. I so miss watching those races. It was 12 hours in the heat, or the cold, and I loved every minute of it. AJ was like honey and sunshine. Everyone that ever met him loved him. He got that from his Dad. Willie was friendly and open, he just loved people. Mary Anne is sweet and kind and giving. AJ was the perfect combination of them both.

Shayna is still my youngest daughters favorite.

I’ve been struggling with what to say about Alvin all week. My head has been in a fog since I heard the news and I’m not quite sure I’ve fully processed it yet. I find my self continually day dreaming about all the cherished times we shared together, and having micro anxiety attacks when it dawns on me that we wont have any new memories. But I’m trying very hard to focus on all the times we did have together, with friends, or just a few of us sailing on the lake, or having drinks outside at a bar on a summer day. I can’t even begin to count all the crazy times we had both in college and even more so, after college downtown. But I take solace in the fact that I have so many of them to look back on and remember. 

I consider myself supremely lucky to have as many great friends as I do, and a small handful of those I can truly call best friends. Alvin was definitely on that list. And there will a huge hole in my life now that he’s gone. But I truly feel blessed to have known him for so many wonderful years. He enriched my life as he did for so many of us, and he will be sorely missed. 

Alvin, I can only hope that you and your dad are together, having a beer,  building motorcycles, and racing across the heavens. I’ll miss you dearly. You were truly my brother.

This photo was taken almost exactly a year ago. It’s hard to believe someone so full of life is gone. Alvin and I worked side-by-side for almost 3 years—but it felt like we’d been friends for decades. He had a way of making people feel that way. Lunches on the deck and garden happy hours won’t be the same.

My heart goes out to MaryAnn and the vast number of people that loved Alvin.

Alvin was 1 of a kind. Every time I saw him, he had a larger than life smile on his face and was always genuinely happy. Not only did we share a passion for racing, but just our passion for life and good times. He was always there if you needed him and his company was always welcome. Alvin, you will be dearly missed by Lisa and I as well as our great group of friends.

Alvin and I sat nearby each other at our coworking space. 

A few friends and I started our memberships there during the lonely winter break of 2022/2023. Alvin was one of the first people to welcome me. I felt truly welcomed. 

Over the course of the last year, Alvin and I became friends as we chatted over lunch almost every day.  

My favorite memory of him is our shared fascination with a neighborhood stranger. A man would roam the streets wearing a helicopter pilot helmet along with various other costumes. Sometimes a cape. Sometimes football pads. Sometimes foil. Sometimes a high-vis jumpsuit. But always accompanied by that helicopter pilot helmet on his head. Alvin and I would always be excited to share new sightings with each other. Others around the office were mildly interested in this quirky stranger, but Alvin and I were truly his biggest fans. I haven't seen helicopter pilot guy for a while now, but when I see him again, I'll think of Alvin.

Alvin was the 2nd person I met when I moved to Chicago in early 2022.  He quickly became a constant presence in my life.  Here we are at our neighborhood restaurant where we’d often come to eat wings, watch sports and catch up on life!

Alvin was one of my first friends in Chicago and was part of a chosen Chicago family. We met through our co-working space and saw each other nearly daily. We bonded over our “small” town IL roots. Sitting opposite each other, we would share friendly good mornings, grunts to complain about this or that, or just fun chats about weekend plans, which often included the wider ‘friend family’. His smile and his laugh became regular fixtures to my days, and I will miss them deeply. 
 
My most heartfelt condolences to Alvin’s mom and all who loved him. He leaves us far too soon.

Alvin has been a staple in my work life since I started with Biewer over two years ago. He was always a source of expertise in all things graphic design, the first person we ran to when we had a "fire drill" project pop up, and the creative mind we trusted, without fail, to turn our visions into reality. He was so talented in what he did that it often felt like he could read our minds. I'm sure that I sometimes drove him crazy (as any good client has to, right?) but he always took it in a stride, cracked a joke, and got it done. Having someone like Alvin that you can trust and rely on is a privilege and a blessing, and I feel lucky to have gotten to work so closely with him. I will miss catching up and chatting on our weekly calls— Tuesday mornings are going to feel so different without you, Alvin! You will be greatly missed by so many!

Alvin was a dear friend of our son Bryan. We considered him one of our Bradley "adopted" sons. We enjoyed many holidays and occasions with Alvin. Our hearts are broken and our sincerest condolences go to Alvin's family. We will miss his smile and great sense of humor. Robyn and Rick Weiss

I love this picture of Alvin. He was excited that my friend's dog, Pheobe, joined us for a Friday Happy Hour in the garden. We shared a community garden plot in Chicago. Alvin made sure it stayed watered when the rest of us were traveling or away. It was a really spectacular summer.

We shared an Uber home from the bar and chatted about the night like college girls going home after a frat party. He was fun to be with. At the coworking space, Alvin had a way of getting me out of whatever head funk I was in and making me laugh. We had some truly ridiculous conversations over lunch.

This is the Platform (Coworking Space) Family at my surprise wedding reception, a rare time when Alvin wasn't wearing a black t-shirt. My husband and I are planning a wedding celebration in England this summer, and Alvin was so excited about coming. He told me he was studying Italian so he could go to Italy afterward. I was looking forward to seeing him in England.

At a Christmas party in 2022, Alvin was tasked to wear a Christmas sweater. Of course, he showed up in a black t-shirt. He always wore black t-shirts.

Alvin's Birthday with the Platform (Coworking Space) Family 

We went to Royal Palms in Chicago for Alvin's birthday last year. When he found out it would be over an hour before we could play shuffleboard, he gave the Royal Palm employee a "Chicago handshake" and we were on the court in ten minutes. He was very proud of that story.

I am so sorry to hear of Alvin’s passing. I know first hand your grief. I lost my son Tony Fulk in September 2022.  I remember the days of Cub  Scouts. Tony and Alvin were such mischievous little guys.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

God Speed my brother!! Alvin and I would take our dad’s street bikes and meet in Pekin park to hang with the girls!! Haha We were the cool kids. His artistic ability has touched all of us in the Flat Track world!! Thank you for being by my side and designing the one and only set of leathers for me. Say hello to all of our race family.
