Our Mom was a family lady who loved to decorate, spend time with her kids and grandkids. She was loveable, funny, strong, caring, and had an hilarious sense of humor. Her favorite line she always says her grandmother told her to “Keep Living.” Our Mom was very ambitious. Her actions always spoke, she was definitely the light. Our Queen.

Phyllis Ann Wheatley was born on September 10, 1960 in Houston, TX to the late Lucille M. Gable and Carey Wheatley. She attended North Forest School District where she later graduated from Forest Brook High School in 1979. Afterwards attended Prairie View A&M.
At An early age she was baptized at New Evergreen Baptist Church in Kashmere Gardens. She was a devoted Mother, and an exceptional Grandmother.
Her joy and passions were cooking, and interior design. (The Black Martha Stewart).
Phyllis Ann quietly passed away at home April 29,2023. She is preceded in death by Mother and Step-Father Otto & Lucille Wooten and also her father Carey Wheatley.
Phyllis Ann leaves to cherish her memories: 7 Children Anthony Wheatley (Tiffanie) ShaVonda Wheatley-Bush, Howard Thurston (Cormillia) Eboni Thurston, Brandon Wheatley, Tomorrow Wheatley, and Summer Wheatley. Siblings: Debbie Phillips, Jacqueline Forest, Cheryl Wooten, Otto Wooten (Jeanetta), Tammy Buster (Jason), Rodney Wooten, Roman Wooten, and Pamela Williams. 16 grand kids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. A committal service will occur Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Paradise Cemetery South, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581.
