Sending my love to you guys, growing up with Mr. Mike and Charlene at AA OF L has been a joy in my life. So many things he told me, so many laughs omg the memo. He would light up my spirits every time I seen him. I love you guys and I'm always here for you.

It is with sadness of heart that we send these words to express our condolences in the passing of Mr. Michael Anderson.  We bow our heads in humble submission to the will of the Almighty God.  He is all wise, He does not err and through His infinite wisdom He knows what is best for each of us.  

We the pastor, associate minister, officers, members and friends of Ricks Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church of Centralia, Illinois want to take the time out to convey our condolences to you and share in your grief; for the bible encourages us to be happy with those who are happy and weep with those who weep.   Please know that God keeps track of your sorrows, collects your tears in a bottle and records each one in His book!   Although the tears may fall, we have the blessed assurance that is recorded in Isaiah 25:8 and is confirmed in Revelation 21:4 which tells us that our Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces.  

To Mr. Anderson’s wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and all spouses, we encourage you to keep the memory of Mr. Anderson alive in your hearts and minds.  Cherish the love, the times you shared, the wisdom of age and all that he meant to you.   We are confident he will live on within you.  We pray that the Holy Spirit will lift your heavy hearts, comfort you and give peace that surpasses all understanding.  We now commend you to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  The Ricks Chapel Church family is praying that God’s goodness and mercy will grant you whatever you need today and in times ahead. Trust in the Lord, give your worries and cares to Him, and remember weeping endures for a night, but joy does come in the morning.

Michael, your assignment was over.  You fought a good fight.  You finished your course.  You kept the faith. Your prayers have been answered.  You are healed. You are at home. Just knowing you are with Jesus gives us joy, peace, rest, and comfort in this time and season of our lives.  Our days are numbered.  Our times are in God’s hands (Psalm 3:15a).  God knows the number of our days and months. We cannot live longer than the time God has set (Job 14:5). Before we had even seen our first day or taken our first breath, God had already written in His book of life the number of our days (Psalm 139:16).  For in God we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28a).  God created all things, and only by God’s will, do we exist (Rev. 4:11). 


Thoughts and prayers for all. I worked with Mike at MPL in Patoka, IL. We knew each other growing up in the same school sports conference.  Mike was a great man, honored to have known and worked with him, loved that laugh and smile.

You will forever be in my heart dear cousin.  Until we meet again love always Andi ❤️
