Jo Ann Fields, age 66, of Missouri City, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Jo (as her family affectionately called her), was born in Slaton, Texas to Harvey Fields & Pearlie Franklin. Jo was known for her candid humor and free spirit. She had the gift of turning any boring situation into a lively, fun, and light experience. Her smile was contagious, and her heart was warm, willing to give to anyone, including strangers, the shirt off her back. Her hobbies included bingo, word search puzzles, social media, making TikToks, and discovering new recipes on cooking videos. Her favorite TV shows were Family Feud, Hazel, and home improvements shows on HGTV.
Jo will be reunited in Heaven with her mother, Pearlie; father, Harvey; granddaughter, Pearlisha; step-father, Willie; brothers and sister, Harvey Jr., Edith, Daniel and Sonny boy; and niece, Johnny Mae.
Jo will be missed by her daughters, Curtricia Madkins-Melton and Shundray Johnson; her son, Shannon Norris; her son in laws Chris Melton and Jason Johnson; her grandchildren, Demaricus, Shamonica, Dashanique, Quisean, Delvyonte, Jacoryian, and Jyrnee. She will by missed by her great grandchildren, Jordyn, Power, Adaya, Amari, Malakai, Alina, Arraya, Amaria, London, Qing; and her unborn great grandson, baby Josiah. She will also be missed by her siblings, Louise Johnson, Leroy Fields, and Danny Fields; nieces (who were like her sisters), Joyce Powell and Lashelle Wells. Jo will also leave behind and will be missed by a host of relatives and friends.
