Elmo Green exchanged his labor for reward and entered eternal rest on May 16, 2023. His departure has left a void in our lives, but his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts. Elmo touched the lives of countless individuals with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
He was born on October 19, 1936, to Elmo and Elnora Green. He was a native of Victoria, Texas. Upon receiving his crown, he is greeted by his parents; wife Hattie Mae Owens Green; four siblings Vangie Tidsom, Eligha Green, Josephine Green, Bobby Joe Green; and daughter Brenda J. Green Haymond. Elmo leaves to honor his legacy his son Dexter Green (Windy); Grandchildren Ashley Wiley, Paul Haymond, Joe Haymond, Jarvis Haymond Kaycee Green and Hailee Green; Great gRandchildren Leigh Montgomery and Myron Montgomery.
Elmo leaves cherished memories with his partner Shirley Jiles and the Jiles Family. Memories will also be endowed by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He displayed an insatiable curiosity and a deep compassion for others. These qualities would efine his character and shape his remarkable journey.
Elmo was a father figure to many in his community. Elmo's compassion and humble spirit were contagious and he inspired others to follow his example of selflessness.
Elmo was a dedicated employee of Entex Gas Company, where he retired after 36 years. His dedication and expertise earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Elmo's love for life extended to his hobbies. He found joy in fishing, cooking his favorite meals and trips to the Casino, or just simply watching Westerns. Elmo will forever be remembered for his warm smile, gentle nature, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the values he instilled.
He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, reminding us to cherish each moment and embrace the beauty of life. As we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, let us also celebrate his incredible impact on our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. Elmo, your spirit will forever guide us, and your memory will be cherished etrernally. May you rest in peace, knowing you have left an indelible mark on this world.
A memorial service for Elmo will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park South, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584.
