Was one of my best friends ever didn’t know he passed away till just now crying my eyes out what happened I just talked to him a few mounths ago

This is picture at Trail Life of the boys praying.  You can see Dave and Sam in the picture plus Sam is holding the Hawk’s patrol flag for the Storm Riders that Dave had designed.

Every time I think about Dave, I think about his goofy laugh. Laughter was a common theme no matter what we were doing or discussing. Sometimes this was all it took for us to troll others. Wherever he is now, I guarantee that he is up to shenanigans and having a laugh doing so.

We're so sorry to hear of David's passing.  He was a very welcome presence at Trail Life, and we'll really miss him. 
We would take turns making sure we'd take pictures of our kids if we were too busy to do so during trail life activities.
Loved having him around.

I was just getting to know David.  He was a very positive Christian who was interested in the success of all the boys.  I always appreciated his smile and his spirit.  I'm looking forward to getting to know him better at the last trumpet.

Dave was one of the few I called "best friend" during our time together in High School.  He was dependable, funny, and always supportive of his friends.  I am at a loss for words, and the world is now less with his passing.  My heartfelt condolences go out to his family & friends.

David was a Hawk patrol leader in our Trail Life Troop.  He walked the trail with dignity, care and a heart to see his two sons and other boys in the troop grow into men of God and raised in His sight.  His care and love for the troop will be surely missed. And as a troop, we pray that his example and life would continue to be a blessing to all in the Troop-11.  We will do our best to walk the trail of life with Sam and Corbett.

I’ll always remember Dave’s generous spirit, his determination to be the best person he could be, and his love for every member of his family. He was a man with strong values that he didn’t flaunt or push on others, but he was someone who deserved acknowledgement for becoming the excellent human being he was. 

Rest in Peace, Dave. Thanks for sharing some time on this planet with us.

It's rare to come across someone as exceptional as David in both character and skillset. The last three years spent working together have left me feeling privileged and enriched by his presence. I can only imagine how much we all stand to lose now that he'll no longer grace us with his talents. Rest in peace my friend

Worked with David when he worked at Johnson Space Center.  I  remember when his baby was born. He was so proud. Road his bike to work...the bike he built. Crafty person. Good friend. He'll be missed.

I worked with Dave back at Everyone's Internet.  He was a character then and stayed that way.  The best way to describe him was a big nerd with a bigger heart.

Dave, you will be missed by those who knew you.
