Winton C. Byrd, 77, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away at home Friday, July 31, 2020, and is under the care of Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home.
Mr. Byrd was born April 1, 1943, in Vancleave, Mississippi, a son of the late Rev. Curtis Lazelle Byrd and Ruth Cowart Byrd.
He retired from Entergy after serving for several years as a mechanic. A true outdoorsman, Mr. Byrd enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was devoted to his family and he loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren…. and he loved his little black Toyota truck!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Verdene Dunn, and Wilda McCoy; and brothers, Quinton Byrd, and Darwin Byrd.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Linda Vanderford Byrd; son, James Hosey (Kay); daughters, Sissy Hosey (Jeff Perrett), Carla Morgan (Mike), Lisa Byrd, and Robin Byrd; 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
