Mr. Haller was a broadcast engineer for Educational Television for over 30 years and worked until his illness for Delta Electronics in Clinton, MS. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing tennis, volunteering at MARL (MS Animal Rescue League) and spending time outdoors. His favorite hikes were those in the Great Smokey Mountains where he hiked various trails, but particularly Mt. LeCont, which he hiked many times with his family and friends. He was a history buff and did extensive genealogical research on his family.
He was an avid photographer with a love for landscapes and flowers. His love for photography extended to astrophotography where he loved to make images of the moon and especially the solar eclipse in 2017. His images even made it to the eclipse mega movie. He was a member of the Jackson Photographic Society, as well as the Jackson Astronomical Association.
Bill had a quiet strength about him that was calm and reassuring. He was admired and loved by all who knew him. He could fix anything and everything that was broken. He was a true gentleman who will be missed every day.
The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Ms. Tina McMurray and the Accent Care Hospice team for the wonderful care they showed Bill during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate3.cancer.org/ or MARL at www.msarl.org/?page_id=51.
