Wayne was born on July 12, 1947 to Elwood Musgrove and Ethel Mae Finnegan Musgrove at the family residence in Rankin County. A member of Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, Wayne was a God-fearing man that was well versed in the scripture and loved to share his love for God with others. On October 5, 1964 he united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Gloria Jackson Musgrove. Wayne was very passionate about his work in construction and retired from Newsome Construction after 27 years, ultimately becoming superintendent. In his free time, he could be found cheering at Mississippi State University ball games, cowbell zealously ringing in hand - and sometimes two handed, fishing for the biggest catfish, or spending time with his loved ones. Wayne also had a reputation for doting on his grandkids, and he was "Paw Paw" to many who were like family even if not by blood.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Elwood Musgrove and Ethel Mae Finnegan Musgrove; brothers, Anthony Musgrove, Leonard Musgrove, Craig Musgrove, and Reggie Musgrove; and sister, Carolyn Hastings.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Gloria Jackson Musgrove; children, Annette Goode (T.D.), Wendy Odom (Robert), Wayne E. Musgrove, Jr (Suzanne), and Daniel Musgrove; sisters, Alice Henderson (John) and Jan Little (Glen); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with two sweet ones on the way; and a host of beloved other extended family members and friends.
