It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce Tonya Teasley Brock Kemp, 52, of Brandon, departed this life and gained her angel wings on the evening of January 10th, 2022. She was a bright star in this often difficult world and will be missed by so many friends and family members. We are completely unprepared for this unexpected loss and will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Jean Puckett, Otis Teasley and Victor Bruce Puckett; and by her brothers, Timothy Otis Teasley and Daniel Mark Teasley.
Tonya will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 17 years, Gregory Scott Kemp; her one and only daughter, Marissa Jean Brock and wife, Stephanie; and her two beloved grandsons, Landon Scott Brock and Cameron Allen Brock. She will also be greatly missed by her two brothers, Michael Ray Teasley and wife, Nita, and James Alan Teasley and wife, Sonya; and sister-in-law, Debbie Teasley. Other survivors include her other mother, Patricia Teasley; three sisters, Donna Bell and husband, Bill; Vicki Stuart; and KKaye Strickland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tonya was a dynamic personality with an unmatched passion for her friends and family. Tonya’s infectious smile could light up a room from the moment she entered it. Her positive energy and warm glow are what made her an incredibly amazing woman. She possessed a never-ending supply of support and love for everyone she knew. One of the greatest joys of her life was the day she became a “MeMe” to her “little loves”, Landon and Cameron. She spent much of the last years of her bright life with her “Scotty”, traveling wherever he could get her to go, New York, New Orleans, the beach, the mountains; and, with her daughters and her “boyz” just enjoying time together.
Tonya did not let her many health issues slow her down. She maintained a positive attitude throughout her illness and showed more concern for her family than for herself. We know you’re up there smiling down on all of us, Tonya Lynn, with that gorgeous smile of yours!
We request all of Tonya’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life from 5pm to 8pm, Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS.
