He was a lifelong resident of Rankin County. He was a 1983 graduate of Brandon Academy and 1987 graduate of the University of Mississippi. Scott was employed by the State Department of Audit until 2016 when he suffered a debilitating stroke.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Irl Dean and Brenda Rhodes; mother, Joanna Johnson; brother, Jeff Rhodes and wife Julie; step-brother, Brett Busick and wife Lori; step-sister, Shannon Bailey; nephew, Cody Bishop; and nieces, Alexis Bailey, and Kendle Rhodes.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10:45am, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Jason Bird will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott's lifelong dear friend, Robbie Pettus, Bryan Bailey, Jay Bishop, Howard McLaurin, Rusty Miller, and Robert Lee Johnston.
