Ronald Killary, of Brandon, died on his 81st birthday, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born and raised in Vermont. His 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy took him to many places in the country and abroad. Following his military career he worked for over 20 years as a civilian with the military training squadrons in aircraft maintenance. He was a member of Tyrian Lodge No. 427 of Brandon as a 33rd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite of the Valley of Jackson, the Royal Order of Scotland, and the National Sojourners. Ron was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kathy Killary; son, Michael Killary and wife Melissa; daughter, Beth Killary; and grandson, John Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Celebration of Life Services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Ron will be laid to rest with military honors at 9:30am, Monday, May 10, 2021, at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tyrian Lodge No. 427, Scottish Rite Freemasonry of the Valley of Jackson, or the Magnolia Speech School.
