The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, January 17, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. The committal service will take place following the funeral at the Lakewood on Clinton Memorial Park Pavilion.
He was born on July 12, 1946 in Jackson, Mississippi at the Baptist Hospital to the late Henry Lawrence Hayles and Evelyn White Hayles. Richard was a Mississippi College Alumni, a Mason, and past Worthy Patron of Jackson Chapter #47 OES. He thoroughly enjoyed his job as an EMT at the Lacombe Fire Department, with his career spanning several years. In his free time, Richard liked to listen to as well as broadcast on HAM radio.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda Hayles of Pearl; sons, John Hayles of Florida and Jeffrey Hayles of Louisiana; granddaughter, Jade Alexis Hayles of Missouri; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
