A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi. Officiating will be Dr. Keith Grubbs from Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Edwards, Joe Edwards, Chase Edwards, and Pat Williams.
He was born on March 31, 1929 to the late Percy Clinton Edwards, Sr. and Onie Bishop Edwards in Shubuta, Mississippi. He proudly served in the United States Navy and Air Force in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #67. He retired from American Warrior Compression, Inc. , formerly Reagan Equipment, Co. , after decades of service as an industrial mechanic. P.C. loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished the holidays with them and getting together to talk and eat. P.C. also adored his miniature Australian Shepherd, Gracie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Tanya Edwards; brother, Grady Earl Edwards, and sister, Louise Holifield. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Edwards; son, Tony Edwards (Jennifer); daughter, Susie Edwards; stepson, Eric Pendergrass (Jessica); stepdaughter, Elaine Phipps; grandchildren, Mistina Edwards and A.J. Edwards; step-grandchildren, Karleigh Phipps, Kaleb Phipps, Adalynn Phipps, Faith Pendergrass, Owen Watkins, and Rachael Moseley; great-grandchild, Aiden Mitchell; nephews, Tommy Edwards, Joe Edwards (Mindy) and Bill Edwards; and great-nephews, Chase Edwards (McKenzie) and Joey Edwards.
Mr. Edwards will be deeply missed.
