Mike McCarty

Mike was born on December 15, 1935 in Maxine, Alabama. He attended West Jefferson High School. He was also a member of the Alabama Air National Guard.

He was previously employed at Bell Helicopter, and retired from RGIS Inventory Specialists.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hobart and Claudie McCarty.

Mike is survived by his children Kathie M. Rees, Karen M. Deane, Christopher McCarty (Debbie), and Kevin McCarty (Donna); grandchildren Jennifer Parker (Adam), Julie Koehler (Marshall),Mandi Rees (Roman Echevarria), Jax McCarty, Jason Edward Deane (DeeDee), Diana Marie Deane and husband Levi; Great Grandchildren Brady, Luca, and Grace Echevarria, Lyla and Zoey Koehler, Greyson and Wells Parker, Oscar and Otto Deane-Lujan.

He is also survived by siblings Jean Bell, Net Sayers, Robert McCarty (Teresa), and Willard McCarty (Velma).

Mike was an avid Auburn fan. He loved working in his yard and garden which produced beautiful flowers and vegetables. He was truly a country boy.

He was a quiet man with a gentle spirit and was loved dearly by all his family. He will be missed by his loyal furry companion Brantley, and his longtime friends Cathy Cobb and Sue Duckworth.
