Mattie Belle Cleveland

Mattie was born in Florence, MS on June 26, 1920 to Maude and Wiley Tucker. She graduated from Florence High School. Mattie married Waverly Lee Cleveland and together they had four children. She was a charter member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mattie Belle is survived by her children, Charles L. Cleveland (Joann), James W. Cleveland (Jo), Danny LaRoy Cleveland (Faye); 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her husband, Waverly L. Cleveland; daughter, Mattie Maude Cleveland Scoggins and granddaughter, Vickie Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Florence, MS on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with visitation held prior from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will be at Clear Branch Cemetery in Florence, MS.
