Jimmy Ray Payne

A visitation for Jimmy will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, Mississippi, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm that same day in the funeral home chapel.

Jimmy was born on August 27, 1950 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late James T. Payne and Anna Marie Brinkley Payne. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and worked for BellSouth/AT&T for several years as a telecommunications specialist. He enjoyed golf and sailing, music, and was a voracious reader about many subjects.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Payne and Anna Marie Brinkley Payne. He is survived by his sons Michael Jason Payne and Joshua David Payne. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael, Lucy, and Evangelyn.
