Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Jevin was born April 23, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late James Albert Davis and Jo Ann Paternostro Davis.
A diesel mechanic for many years, Jevin owned and operated AJ Automotion.
Jevin was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl.
Jevin had many special interests and he was most content when he had something to do or “tinker” with. He enjoyed animals, hunting, and tending the pool- anything to be outside. He also enjoyed IRacing and followed auto racing every second he could. Jevin was a devoted Saints and LSU fan. He was passionate about cooking, often creating his own dishes, and considered himself to be a true “grill master”. Jevin loved to laugh, and he loved to make those around him laugh.
Jevin’s joy in life was his wife, Amy, and their life together. He was a devoted husband and truly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jevin is survived by his wife, Amy Short Davis; step-son, Nathan Nusbaum; sister, Jeanne Peres and husband Tony; and father and mother-in-law, William and Linda Short; and nieces and nephews, Megan, Mason, Morgan and Logan.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure at ww5.komen.org or to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
