He was born in Lesterville, Missouri on March 5th, 1930 to James Byron George and Leona Pearl Eddy George. He was a Korean War Purple Heart Recipient. He also received 2 Bronze stars and a United Nations Service medal for his service in Korea.
He drove a truck for Complete Auto Transit for over 30 years. He had a love of airplanes and obtained his private pilot license. He flew his family on vacation to Florida and Missouri numerous times through the years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol George, son,Ronald George (Milly), daughters,Lisa Easley and Kristie Gunn(Jamie).
Six grandchildren : Jamie Shelley(Johnny), Shana Cotten (Cody), Stephanie Bryant, Shane Easley Jr.(Keri) Brooke Clark (Josh) and Kevin James George.
Six great grandchildren: Shane Easley III, Kolton Easley, Kemper Cotten, Daxton Shelley, Ashton Shelley and Layla James Clark, due in October.
Brother, Sammy George(Joyce), sisters Edna Jordan (Harold) and Betty Pinkley. And many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed. The family will have a private memorial service with military honors at a later date. His ashes will be taken to his hometown in Lesterville, Missouri to be sprinkled in the beautiful,sparkling, clear Black River near the old family farm where he took his kids to swim while visiting on vacation in the summer and where he grew up swimming and fishing.
