Visitation will be 12:00-3:00pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Celebration of Life services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
Mattie was born February 14, 1997, in Abbeville, Louisiana. Mattie had a strong faith in our Lord and attended Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, working on cars, and his beloved Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Mattie truly loved his family and friends, and had an especially close bond with his Mama. His affable personality made him approachable to others and very easy to talk to. His warm nature drew you in, and Mattie truly never met a stranger.
Survivors include his parents, Jennifer and Steven Herring, and Phillip Broussard and fiancée Ann Lantier; brothers, Zachary William Broussard and Kade Anderson; sisters, Bethany Broussard and Brandi Ray; grandparents, Henry Broussard and Shirley Nolan Broussard; uncles/aunts, Danny and Val Sherrets, David and Terri Castille, Heather Broussard, Channing Broussard, Henry Broussard, Jr., and Dwayne and Tonya Herring; niece/nephew, Rainie and Oliver Ray; cousins, Miranda and Corey Guidry, Emily and Steven David, Patrick and Dana Trahan, Danielle and James Hudson, Jeremy and Cortney Hopkins, Scott and Kristina Sherrets, and Dustin Sherrets; and god-mother, Leesha Combs.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, William “Billy” Walker, Judy Levine Walker, Robert Earl Herring, and Shirley Herring.
