Glenda was born Tuesday, April 20, 1954, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Mabron Franklin Pegram and Minnie Frances Foster.
Glenda owned and operated her own cleaning company for several years. A member of the Baptist faith, she diligently read and studied the Bible. Glenda was an amazing mother and grandmother, and helped raise her grandchildren from infancy. Her hobbies included crafting with florals, collecting butterflies and watching crime shows.
Survivors include her daughter, Candace Gregory-Lewis and husband Donnie Lewis; son, Christopher Gregory; grandchildren, Mason Gregory, Angelina Gregory, Mahkiya Chandler, Kenneth Charles “K.C.” Gregory, Delani Lewis, and Draya Lewis; and sisters, Brenda Kirby and Linda Pegram Jenkins.
Glenda had a sincerely caring heart for others. The phrase, “never met a stranger”, truly applied in her case. Glenda was constantly giving to others in life, and wanted to continue her mission to give to others, even in death. To that end, years ago she registered as an anatomical donor, in order that her earthly remains would be used to further medical research to benefit others.
Visitation will be held 6:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Darrell McQuirter will officiate.
