Gladys J. Baggett

Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Friday, August 5, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church in Pearl. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm in Edwards Cemetery.

She was born July 6, 1923 in Illinois, a daughter of the late Oscar Johnson and Callie Eddlemon Johnson.

Gladys was an amazing woman that loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Vicksburg, after having served more than 25 years at Antioch Baptist Church in Pearl, alongside her husband, Rev. C.L. Baggett, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, studying her Bible and reading.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Baggett, and grandson, Adam Nelson Williams.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Samples (David) of Vicksburg and Sondra Jenkins (Grover) of Calhoun, LA; son, Paul Baggett (Margaret) of Brandon; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
