Mr. Gerald Ezell Wood

Gerald was born in Itawamba County, MS on May 25, 1926 to Minnie and Eugene Wood. Gerald married Helen Louise in 1950. He worked as a truck driver, with Chevron for 40 years and then went on to work with Bailey Oil Company for 14 years.

Gerald is survived by his son, Terry Wood (Marsha) of Jackson; daughter, Regina Goodwin of Florence; and grandsons, Jacob Goodwin (Andrea) and Caleb Goodwin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Wood; his parents, Eugene and Minnie Wood; sister, Emerial Black; and son-in-law, Dale Goodwin.

Funeral services will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Baldwin-Lee on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerald’s name to the American Cancer Society.
