A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Freddie was born June 15, 1950, in Clarksdale, a son of the late Aaron and Dorothy Roberts. Following graduation from the University of Southern Mississippi, Freddie served as a teacher and coached youth baseball. In 1984 he opened Big Red Econo Service in Flora, which he operated along with his wife, Brenda, until 2016. Freddie worked hard to always provide for his family, and he passed that legacy of strength to press on and strong work ethic to his children.
Freddie was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8038. His favorite times were spent tending his garden and being with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Rubley.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Brenda Kay Roberts; sons, David “Skeet” Roberts, Joseph Roberts (Lauren), and Flint Roberts (Brandi); grandchildren, Isabel, Abbygale, Gracyn, and Stella Reese Roberts; brothers, Donald, Danny, and James Roberts; and sisters, Cheryle Sacco, Pam Hegerle, and Cathy Wright.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church in in Pearl.
