Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
She is survived by brother, Alvin Hughes; children, Mary Headrick Reeves, Edwina Headrick Rose, Cinde Meadows Mittuch, and Sonya Meadows Morgan; grandchildren, Leah Jane Harkins, Mary Claire (Rose) Dunlap, Russell Dunlap, Billy Reeves, Lauren Rose, Wesley Edwards, Justin Nipper, and Chance McFadden; great-grandchild, Caden Smith; and a host of other beloved extended family members and dear friends.
Preceding her in death is her husband, A.D.Meadows, Jr.; father, Rev. C. J. Hughes; mother, Winnie Jane Hughes; sisters, Marilyn Hughes Holcomb and Jane Hughes Rawls; and brother, Robert Hughes.
She loved to prepare shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse to be delivered to children at Christmas. Therefore, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Samaritan’s Purse at PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or at Samaritanspurse.org
