Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Friday, August 12, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Pearl with interment to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The family will also receive frineds one hour prior to services on Friday.
Mr. Burnham was a Korean War veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and later a member of Park Place Baptist Church. A longtime member of Rankin County Law Enforcement, he served as Constable and later as the lead investigator for the District Attorney’s office. He retired as lead investigator for the Rankin County Sheriff’s office and later worked as Bailiff with Judge Tommy Zebert’s court. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners. He loved hunting, fishing, working in his garden and entertaining his great grandchildren.
Mr. Burnham is survived by his wife, Pat Burnham; son, Ernie Burnham; daughters, Debbie Davis (Dick) and Denise Craig (Cowboy) all of Brandon; brothers, Kay Burnham and Johnny Burnham (Authurine) all of Pearl; grandchildren, Leslie Davis Jackson (Kris), Brant Davis (Amy), Torie Fuller (Josh), Josh Craig (Renee), Patrick Burnham and Justin Dallas Kisner; great grandchildren, Tyler, Maddie, Dylan, Addison, Colton, Abbey and Brandon.
