Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Midway Church of Christ in Utica. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with interment in the Robison Family Cemetery.
Elsie was a native of Utica and a longtime member of the Midway Church of Christ. She enjoyed a lengthy career as a sales clerk within the grocery industry, having worked for the Sunflower store in Utica, and Albertson’s Grocery during the summer when visiting her son. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit her family in New Mexico and Wyoming. She also liked to square dance and crochet, and she made many beautiful afghans for family and friends. Elsie loved the outdoors and delighted in hours spent tending to her yard and property. Elsie’s legacy of love and service to others will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by sons, Ron Davidson, and Dean Davidson; daughter Angie Gabbitas; brother, Claude Johnny Roberts; sister, Flora Riley; grandchildren, Kim Tagert (Jason), Mariah Morales, Marla Pohl (Dominic), and Samantha Sawvel (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Adylyn Tagert, Matias Pohl, Diego Pohl, Julia Pohl, David Fox (Audrey), Leanna Sawvel, and Courtney Sawvel; and great-great-grandchildren, Autumn Rose, Ella Mae and Oakley.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Marble Roberts; husband Chester “Pete” Davidson; daughter, Chesterene Fowler; and brothers, Hubert, Aubrey and E.C. Roberts.
