Dianne was born in Jackson on September 24, 1946, to Katherine and Buck Kelly. She attended Pearl High School.
Dianne married Don R. Hooper in 1988. She had three girls from a previous marriage and Don had two girls from a previous marriage, making the Hooper’s parents of five girls. Dianne worked in customer service and enjoyed traveling. She and Don visited all 50 states except Hawaii, which she did not wish to see. She was happiest on the road sightseeing, and often said that every state had something beautiful to see.
Dianne is survived by daughters, Tracy D. Prouty (Tommy), Mary Beth Brown (Jim), Rhonda Jo Ezell, Melissa Stonestreet Paxton, and Michelle Hooper Porter (Russ); siblings, Denise Shearer Record (Tim), Joe Kelly (Judy), Kenneth Kelly (Susan), and Brenda Kelly; grandchildren, Justin Higgs, Kristen Stonestreet, Brooklyn Paxton, Sarah Miller, Riley Ellis, Evan Ellis, Madison Ezell, and two great-grandchildren.
Dianne was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Ray Hooper; brothers, David Johnson and Devlin Shearer; as well as her parents.
Dianne was such a humble woman, never realizing how many people she touched and how deeply all that knew her loved her. She was a loyal friend and a wonderful mother to her girls, which were her world even up to her passing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, especially her best friend, Judy Hooper.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm.
