Lois Elaine Soelman, 83, of Pearl, fell asleep in death Thursday night, March 11, 2021. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Clarence Joe Soelman, and a wonderful mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.
Elaine was born Lois Elaine Fultz on January 21, 1938, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, to Cletus Paul and Leona Ruth Fultz. She was one of two siblings, being the younger sister of Betty Rae. She grew up in Bremerton, Washington, and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper during most of her work life.
On November 4, 1977, she married Clarence Soelman. Together they shared seven children, Tommy Soelman, Steve Soelman, Valerie Soelman, Jon Langdon, Joni Langdon, James Massey and Shane Soelman. They also shared 14 grandchildren.
Elaine was a student of the Bible and had great faith in the promises found there. She was a dedicated witness of Jehovah for over 50 years and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pearl, Mississippi. She was known for her self-sacrificing, compassionate and generous spirit toward all.
Her love for her children was absolute, and spending time with her grandchildren was a favorite pastime. She had a lifelong love for horses, owning many in her lifetime. Tending to her horses at the barn brought her much joy.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Clarence Joe Soelman; daughters, Joni Langdon and Valerie Keener (Kenneth); and sons, James Massey (April) and Shane Soelman.
