Edward Morris Pope

Edward “Eddie” Morris Pope was 54 years old of Pearl, MS. He gained his wings on the evening of February 26, 2020. Eddie was born in Scott County, MS on February 9, 1966 to Nellie & Charles Ray Pope. He attended Pearl Attendance Center. He found his passion as a painter in the construction industry and worked with his best friend for 29 years, Frankie Dale Swilley.

Eddie’s hobbies included enjoying listening to country music and playing Bingo. But most of all being a devoted father to his children and family.

He was predeceased by his father, Charles Ray Pope, brother Randall Pope and a sister, Mary Pope. He recently lost his loving companion, Brenda Chain.

He is survived by his four children, Amanda, Haley, Destiny and Cayden Pope and his three grandchildren, Daniel, Carlos and Sophia; mother, Nellie McLemore Burnside and sister, Belinda McLain. Eddie has a niece and nephew, Kayla and Hunter McLain. He had a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to especially thank Frankie Swilley and Candy McGowan for their wonderful friendship and comfort to Eddie during the last few weeks. Also to Pastor Jesse Swilley and Hospice Ministry.
