She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward Carlton Hall, Sr.; parents, John Rankin and Nancy Ann Finch Ferguson; grandson, Anthony Bragg; sister, Doyle Davis; and brother, John R. Ferguson, Jr.
Alice primarily worked at home and on the farm. She enjoyed doing things outside and working with animals on the farm. She was a busy lady. She attended Hinds Community College from 1986 to 1990, majoring in computer technology. At age 53, Alice graduated with an Associate in Applied Sciences degree. She was on the Dean’s List, elected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and helping folks in whatever way she could. She is probably best remembered for her piano playing and gospel music singing. She was so happy when her three girls were singing in a group with her. During a visit with her sister and niece in 2019 at Willow Creek Retirement Center, Alice played the piano and everyone sang. A man there told Alice her piano playing blessed him. She was an ordained minister and enjoyed sharing God’s Word. We were blessed to have had her in our lives.
