Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Friday, January 27, 2023, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Services will follow at 12:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, Mendenhall. Services will be officiated by his brother, Ronald Stewart. Serving as pallbearers will be Douglas Vanderford, Layne Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Jason Tanner, Gary Broadwater, Johnny Phillips, and honorary pallbearer, Reese Stewart.
Born June 9, 1952, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Donald learned from an early age the value of hard work and accomplishment. This commitment to the dignity of labor and doing the best job you can served him well throughout his 40 plus years in the grocery business. He retired in 2020 from Rameys in Florence where he was produce manager.
In his free time Donald was a sports fanatic. His favorites were watching Mississippi State and the New Orleans Saints play football, or Jeff Gordon tearing it up on the track.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. Stewart and Stella Thompson Stewart.
Survivors include his children, Wes Stewart and wife Ashlie, daughter, Kim Stewart, and their mother, Kathy Stewart; grandchildren, Layne and Reese Stewart; and brothers, Bobby Stewart and wife Jayne, and Ron Stewart.
