Don Perkins

Visitation will be from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Don was a faithful member of Flowood Baptist Church for almost 50 years becoming a member in 1968. He retired after 46 years as an auto body technician with Herrin-Gear. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing when he could, regardless of weather conditions.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Lester William Perkins and Velma Robinson Perkins; and sisters, Glenda Bell and Katherine Broussard.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vernonia Reed Perkins; sons, Steve Perkins and wife, Debbie, and David Perkins and wife, Cindy; brother, Pete Perkins and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Phillip Perkins, Marlaina Edwards and husband, Justin, Sarah Treadway and husband, Jon, Rachel Rainey and husband, Seth, and Hannah Huddleston; and great-grandchildren, Kyra Lee, E.J., Ella, Jacob, Addyson, Wyatt Jase, and Lauren.
