Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson. Mass of Christian Burial Services will follow at 2:00pm with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Corey was born in Jackson on May 6, 1992. In recent months he moved to Carson City, NV, to pursue his dream job at Tesla.
Corey was very strong in his faith and was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. An true outdoorsman his hobbies included camping, golfing, fishing, hiking, and snowboarding. Corey was always up for an adventure! An excellent cook he delighted in creating unique dishes for family and friends. Corey was highly intelligent with a thirst for knowledge, which made him a voracious reader. He also enjoyed music and was a major history buff.
Family and friends were the center of Corey’s heart, and it was important to him to maintain relationships with his buddies and his beloved family. He and his sister were very close in age, seemingly like twins, and Corey was fiercely protective of her.
Corey will best be remembered for his big smile and tender heart for others. His kind and generous spirit endeared him to many, and his dependable nature made him an extraordinary friend. Corey's legacy of seeing the positive in everything and everyone will long live in the hearts of all who were blessed to have touched by his light.
Corey is survived by his parents, Susan Hendon and fiancée Mark Aromola, and Chuck and Sonia Hendon; sister, Carly Hendon; grandparents, Connie and Jeff Aley, and Sherry and Jerry Clark; great-grandmother, Evelyn Solomon; and aunts, uncles, and their families, Lisa Solomon, Randy Hendon, Charlotte Montgomery, Dawn Clark, and Reshea Alford.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Sullivan; and great-grandparents, Elmer Solomon, and William E. and Ulma Sullivan.
