Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be 10:00am, Friday, February 15, 2019, at Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
Charlotte was born December 23, 1931, in Kemper County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Earl Neal and Emma Corine Allen.
Charlotte was a faithful charter member of Skyway Hills Baptist Church where she loved worshipping her Savior with her beloved church family. A devoted Christian mother and grandmother, at the time of her passing Charlotte was reading through her Bible for the seventh time.
Children were the center of Charlotte’s world. Whether her own kids or children she babysat, her favorite times were spent with little ones. Right up to her moments, she enjoyed watching through the window as her great-grandchildren were playing in the yard, and she would wave to them from her bed.
In addition to reading, especially her Bible, her other hobbies included quilting and word find puzzles.
She is survived by her brothers, Harold Neal and wife Ann, and Rush Neal and wife Marie; children, Charlene Holmes and husband Gary, Frances Tubbs and husband Mike, Charles Ray Byrd and wife Debbie, Nell Vanderford and husband Jeff, Mary Vanderford and husband Jack, and Barbara Green and husband Stan; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
