He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Hux, Sr. and Lula Mae Baker, also a sister, Carol Hux Allen.
Mr. Hux attended Millsaps College and USM. While at USM, he met and married Ann Thompson of Prentiss, Mississippi. Returning to Jackson, Ms. he worked in the floor covering industry as a sales representative for three major dealers of the south, L. D. Brinkman Co. of Dallas, Texas; Building Plastics Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee, and The Brandon Company, of Little Rock, Arkansas. After working for BPI, 25 years , he retired, and was employed with the Brandon Co. part time, until his illness. He loved camping, traveling with his wife and if there was a golf course to be found, he would find it!
He is survived by his wife, Ann. daughters, Lynda Mitchell and husband Rick, and Leigh Townsend and husband Keith, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, plus his little dog Pedro.

Charles William "Bill" Hux, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Hux was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Lynda Mitchell and husband Rick, and Leigh Townsend and husband Keith; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
