Charles Herbert Barrett, 79, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson.

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00am, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services are 2:00pm Wednesday in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Mississippi.

He was born March 17, 1940, in Sebastopol, Mississippi, a son of the late William Press Barrett and Elizabeth Russell Barrett.

His is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Blair Barrett; daughter, Kathy E. McDill and husband Randy; son, Charles M. "Spud" Barrett and wife Vickie; grandchildren, Erin Williams and husband Zach, Emily Gonseth and husband Tyler, Lauren Smith and husband Billy, Kayla Troth and husband Tim, and Jason Logan; and great-grandchildren, Karter, Liam, Chandler, Lela Kate, Dallas Rose, and Brantley; brothers, Richard Barrett, and Jerry Wayne Barrett; and sister, Frances Corlis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, David, Robert, and Johnny Barrett.
