Born March 20, 1938 to the late Jimmy Livingston Jones and Ruby Harkey Jones, Bobbie was a country girl who valued simplicity and was a member of the English Pearl Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. A dedicated homemaker, in her younger years she enjoyed embroidery and sewing. Bobbie also adored working in the garden. Even when she visited other family members' homes, Bobbie would go out in their yard toiling away, her humble spirit rejoicing in what she considered to be a labor of love. Some of the best conversations ever shared were those over a pea shelling session. Bobbie had an affinity for nature and animals, and earned the loyalty of several raccoons who visited her daily for the supper she put out for them. In recent years, she was also known to treasure time with her precious family members and to watch game shows on television.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death are her beloved husband, P.H. Smith, Jr, beloved brothers William C. Jones and James C. Jones and beloved son, Jimmy Smith.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Kenneth Smith; daughter, Susie Robinson (Bobby); sister, Betty Shedd; grandchildren, JT Smith (Kim), Charlie Smith (Tammy) and Nicki Gutter (Grant); great-grandchildren, Callie Smith, Payton Smith, Xander Gutter, and Colton Smith; and several other dear extended family members and friends.
