Billy was born on May 7th, 1940 in Magee, to Bill and Pauline Pinkham. He attended Pearl High School, then served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. Billy’s passion was truck driving.He most recently drove for YRC Freight, driving over 4 million miles since 1977, accident free. He was awarded his own truck, with his name on the doors, for his exceptional driving skills. He never retired.
Billy was a 32nd degree Mason, Blue Lodge. He was also a proud member of the Wahabi Shriners, and a Teamster for Local Union 891 for 52 years. He was a member of Raleigh Methodist Church.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Paula Pinkham, niece Crystal Eliott, and his loving cat of 22 years, Turkey.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his wife , Vickie Bruce Pinkham, daughter, Debra Lachrista Pinkham, son, Monty Pinkham (Sherri); grandchildren, Brittney Pinkham Thompson(Dustin), and Torrey Landon Rush; great grandchildren, Carter, Whitton, and Josephine;special friends, Gene Tullos Young(Cousin) and his wife Cindy, a very special friend of the entire Pinkham Family, Terrie Hathorn Baker, and his beloved cats; Edna, William, and Smokey.
A private funeral was held on April 14 at Baldwin Lee in Pearl. Pallbearers were Mark Young, Gene Young, Terry Tullos, Ronnie Simpson, Billy McDonald, and Jerry Sellers. Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Tullos, Mark Tucker, Brad Patterson(In memory of Kenny Patterson), and J.R. Burroughs. Interment was in Raleigh North Cemetery, Smith County Mississippi.
The family was provided transportation from Baldwin Lee to Raleigh North Cemetery by Sho Time Limousine, owner W. L. (Bo) Ward II.
