Beatrice Elizabeth McKay

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Monday, May 23, 2016, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Lodebar Methodist Church in Pelahatchie. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Tuesday, March 5, 1940, in Rankin County, Mississippi, the only child of the late Wilbur C. Crain and Virginia Elizabeth Pace Crain.

Bea was a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church and she did volunteer work for the church's ministry for many years. She loved to sing, both in church, and more often, at home. Her family will always remember Bea sitting at the kitchen table, singing songs from the old church hymnals.

In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Smith.

Survivors include sons, Glenn McKay, William McKay and Richard McKay; daughters, Donna West and Mary Newton; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
