Andres Ansay Resurreccion was born on November 10, 1954 in Cavinti, Laguna Philippines. He was widely known as Andy. The Son of LtCol Zosimo Mirasol Resurreccion Sr. & Mrs. Maria Corazon Ansay Resurreccion.
Andy immigrated from the Philippines to the United States and enlisted in the United States Army in 1977. His MOS was 63 Bravo, light wheeled mechanic.
After Andy was honorably medically discharged from the Army, he earned his Associates Degree in Communications Electronics Repair from Hinds Community College Raymond, MS. Andy is married to Dr. Marissa Maat Resurreccion of 39 years. After earning his degree, Andy started his small entrepreneur endeavor, Andy’s Electronic Repair; he built, repaired & restored various electronics.
Andy was known to be a “jack of all trades” from being a mechanic, carpenter, electrician & plumber. Most importantly, he was a loving husband and father. Andy loved to play basketball, fish and especially loved to ballroom dance with his beautiful wife Marissa. Andy would always wear any US Army apparel because he was proud of his military service. Moreover, his Patriotism inspired his sons to commission as US Army Officers out of Fort Benning, GA.
On October 29, 2023 Andy passed away peacefully in his home with his wife, two sons, sister & niece by his side. Andy is survived by his wife Marissa, his two sons Troy & Andree and his siblings, Wilma Makiling, Maria Jean Pereña, Zosimo Resurreccion Jr (Junn), Dr. Maria Corazon Lafuente (Baby), Melody Villa, Dann Resurreccion, Rommel Resurreccion, and over 40 nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Rosary Services will follow at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. Interment will be in Glenwood Memorial Park, Richland.
