Virginia Faye Johnson Parker, passed away 3/14/2020 after complication from heart surgery. Born in Knoxville TN then moving to Pinson, Al as a child, Faye had many interest in her life. She loved all trees (excluding pines, she hated pollen), flowers, books, dancing, puzzles, traveling, photography,
She was a flipper of houses before that was in style, felt that everything looked better with a fresh coat of paint and also had more tools and saws then most carpenters and could use each and everyone of them!
Faye worked for the Birmingham Hotel in the mid 60's where she met her husband John. She spent many years assisting John with his job and being a homemaker before becoming her own business owner, having large paper route in Orlando, After selling her business she worked for J &P transportation in Apopka, FL and then Smith Floor covering in Newnan, GA before retiring in 2008.
Faye was an avid volunteer spending countless hours supporting Seminole Soccer Club in Sanford FL in the 80's and different ladies auxiliaries and her church thrift store during her retirement years.
She loved life and those people that she knew. She either liked you or she didn't and was tough as nails. She had a fierce love for her children and grandchildren and her many friends and extended family.
Her wish for the world was to be kind to others, fight for those that cannot, and love our planet. In her honor her family plans to have a grove of 10 saplings trees planted in her name in all 28 of the US national forest as part of the reforestation project,
She will continue to breathe life in to this world even though she is no longer with us.
She is proceed in death by her parents Earl and Alma (Hardin) Johnson, brothers, Billy, Buddy, Bobby and Lowell Johnson, her husband John L Parker and daughter in law Melody Murphy Green.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey Green Maitland, FL, daughter Angela Parker Leos (spouse Daniel ) Sharpsburg, Ga, grandchildren Alec, Justin and Erin Leos as well as many nieces, nephews, and sister in laws.
Family friends will be invited to her celebration of life gathering at the Leos house at a later date.
A Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama at a later date as well.
