Susan Lee Bowden Taylor, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away on May 29, 2016. She was born in Columbus, MS to the late Warner and Jeannette Bowden. She grew up in Germantown, TN where she attended M.S.C.W. and worked for Delta Airlines for many years. She later moved to East Point, GA with her family and worked as an educator for the Fulton County School System. She then moved to Sharpsburg, where she eventually retired from the Peachtree City Recreation Department, after many years of loyal service. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 51 years; a loving and caring mother to her two daughters; and a doting grandmother to her two grandsons-the loves of her life.
Susan is survived by her husband, Phil Taylor of Sharpsburg, GA; daughters, Ginger (Greg) Zanebis of Peachtree City, GA; Amy Taylor of Sharpsburg, GA; grandsons, Alex Zanebis and Jack Warner Zanebis of Peachtree City, GA; brothers, Henry (Michelle) Bowden of New Jersey, and Allan (Carolyn) Bowden of Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00am at Peachtree City United Methodist Church with Rev. Sean Robinson officiating. The family kindly request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Gifts, P O Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 in Susan's memory.
