My mom had to be the strongest willed person that I’ve ever known, to raise seven kids after getting hit by a train in 1958 and pronounced dead three times. What a miracle!! She was a person that knew no strangers, she would strike up a conversation with a homeless person as fast as she would a millionaire. Sandra loved to crochet crosses for her family, friends, military men and women, and even complete strangers. To her, there was no difference, and at the end of every conversation she would end it by saying, “God Bless You”. She raised all seven of us with my Dad, Leon Jeffers, to the best of her ability and for me, I think she did an awesome job!! Through every hurdle and obstacle, she would always pick out the positives and remind us of them and she stayed true to that belief to the very end!!
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon Jeffers; and her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Judkins.
Sandra is survived by her sons, Joseph Lee Card, Patrick John Card, Steven Charles Card, and Leon Charles Card; daughters, Theresa Ann Ewers, Pamela Jean Griffin and son-in-aw, Jay Griffin; daughter-in-law, Tina Michelle Card; grandchildren, Shana Priscilla Watts, Troy Lee Threewitt, Brandon Jessie Bradshaw, Daniel Moody, Kenny Griffin, Greg Ewers, Mary Muhe, Sarah Ewers, Becky Rongstad, Rachel Ewers, Chris Hill, and Charles McCarroll; 25 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Terry Polinski. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Katy.
She was also a wonderful mother-in-law, I could have not asked for a better one. I was very blessed to be her daughter-in-law. ~Tina
