Robert E. Holloway, 73, of Sharpsburg, Georgia passed away July 14, 2014, in his home. Bob was a wonderful, kind man who will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a decorated soldier, serving over 20 years, before retiring from service. He also worked as a police officer in Sanford, Florida. After retirement he built his home in Sharpsburg and enjoyed time with family, neighbors and friends, fishing, and walking his two dogs.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bonnie Holloway; his siblings, Billy Holloway, Barbara Hill, and Butch Holloway; and his son, Robin Holloway. He is survived by his loving and devoted partner, Somboon Cunningham; his son, Scott Holloway and his wife, Jenny; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Cunningham and Patricia Cunningham Hill and her husband, Murray; three granddaughters, Ashley Holloway, Darian Cunningham Hill, and Jordyn Cunningham Hill; and his two adoring dogs, Princess and Angel.
Funeral service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 12:30pm (CST) at the National Cemetery at Fort Mitchell, Alabama.
