Mr. Norman D. Fuhr, age 80, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was born to Romaine Blayney Fuhr and Delmar Fuhr on August 12, 1932 in Washington, PA. Norman had a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ohio State. He was a former First Lieutenant in the US Air Force and worked as a plant manager for Alcan Aluminum Corporation in Williamsport, PA until retirement in 1992. After retirement he moved to Georgia and enjoyed golfing with his friends at Canongate Golf Course near his home in Sharpsburg. Norman is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donnis Vick Fuhr; and his three sons, Steven Fuhr, Cary Fuhr, and Christian Fuhr. A memorial service will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory in Peachtree City, GA on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held for one hour after the service. Inurnment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Salvation Army.
